System overview

A modular, adaptive mobility platform.

The Abron Walking Chair concept is built around a modular architecture that integrates powered actuation, sensor fusion, and intelligent control into a unified mobility system. Final specifications will be determined through engineering, testing, and regulatory review.

The technology remains under development. Product configurations, specifications, features, and capabilities described here are conceptual and may evolve through engineering, testing, and commercialization. This information should not be interpreted as a claim of medical benefit, regulatory approval, or guaranteed performance.

Core subsystems

Six integrated systems.

Each subsystem is designed to work in coordination with the others, enabling the Abron platform to respond to user commands and environmental conditions in real time.

01

Powered Mobility

Electric motors and actuators provide the driving force for movement. The system is designed to support forward, reverse, and lateral motion as well as elevation changes — with power delivery managed by the central controller.

Conceptual target: multi-directional movement with variable speed control

02

Stability & Balance Control

Active stabilization systems continuously monitor the user's position and the platform's orientation. When the system detects instability, it can adjust actuator output to help maintain balance and prevent tipping.

Conceptual target: real-time balance correction across varied terrain

03

Terrain & Environment Sensing

A sensor array — potentially including distance sensors, incline detectors, obstacle detection, and surface analysis — feeds real-time environmental data to the control system to inform movement decisions.

Conceptual target: multi-sensor environmental awareness

04

User Control Interface

The system is designed to support multiple input methods — joystick, push-button, touchscreen, voice command, and caregiver control — to accommodate a range of user abilities and preferences.

Conceptual target: multi-modal input with accessibility-first design

05

Power & Battery System

A rechargeable battery system is designed to provide practical daily operating range. Battery management circuitry monitors charge state, temperature, and power draw to optimize performance and longevity.

Conceptual target: full-day operational range on a single charge

06

Modular Architecture

The platform is designed with modularity in mind — future versions may support interchangeable mobility, sensor, and power modules to allow configuration for different user needs and use environments.

Conceptual target: configurable platform for diverse mobility needs

Control architecture

Closed-loop coordination.

The Abron control system is designed around a closed-loop architecture — continuously reading sensor data, evaluating user commands, and adjusting actuator output to maintain safe, stable movement.

01

User Input

The user selects direction, speed, or mobility mode via their preferred control interface.

02

Sensor Fusion

The controller reads data from terrain, obstacle, incline, and position sensors simultaneously.

03

Decision Processing

The central controller evaluates user intent against environmental conditions and safety parameters.

04

Actuator Command

Motors and actuators receive coordinated commands to execute the desired movement.

05

Stability Feedback

Balance and position sensors feed back into the loop, allowing the system to correct in real time.

06

Safety Override

If the system detects an unsafe condition, it can halt movement and alert the user or caregiver.

Platform Versatility

Three Configurations. One Platform.

The Abron™ Walking Chair is designed as a modular platform — the same core robotic system adapts into a compact indoor model, an all-terrain outdoor model, and a medical rescue stretcher configuration.

Three Abron™ Walking Chair configurations: compact indoor version, all-terrain outdoor model, and medical rescue stretcher variant — all featuring the solar panel canopy and robotic leg assembly

Compact Indoor

Rubber foot pads, narrow profile for hallways and tight spaces

All-Terrain Outdoor

Wider stance, rugged base for uneven terrain and outdoor environments

Medical Rescue Stretcher

Flat-bed configuration for emergency and clinical transport scenarios

Designed for Real Life

Goes Where You Go.

Independence means more than moving through a room — it means loading into a car, traveling to appointments, and living life on your own terms. The Abron™ Walking Chair is engineered to fold and stow into a standard SUV trunk without assistance.

  • Anchoring Grab Bar for secure vehicle loading
  • Extendable Grab Hooks for one-person stow
  • Compact fold profile fits standard SUV cargo area

Why Abron

What makes this concept different.

Terrain adaptability

Designed to address environments — stairs, curbs, uneven ground, inclines — that limit or prevent conventional wheelchair use.

Active stabilization

Rather than relying on static balance, the system actively monitors and corrects position in real time.

Multi-modal control

Designed to accommodate a range of user abilities, from full joystick control to voice or caregiver-assisted operation.

Modular platform

A modular architecture designed to evolve — new mobility, sensor, or power modules can be developed without redesigning the entire system.

Intellectual property

Patent-pending protection.
